Summer Rains

I've got a song hidden in our old apartment
where summer melts the pavement
and flash floods wash away
the dreams we made yesterday

I’ve got unsent letters in a drawer
Never thought that it should matter
I left them all in our old city
where they waste the day
waiting in line,

They said everything's gonna be fine,
They said all you gotta to do is pray

Rain rain go away
Remember all the silly games
we used to play
There are consequences we've yet to pay
we'll save them all for another day

It never rains in my new city
Here the sun is harsh
And everyone is  busy
and the streets,
the streets would rather
see you speed away
no waiting in lines,
but there are hefty fines
for people who wont go their way

Rain, rain go away
All the silly games we used to play
tomorrow is another yesterday
all that matters is I'm here today
